Hi,
I’m Shreyas, an engineer by training and a policy researcher by choice.
After years preparing for the civil services, I pivoted to political and policy research, drawn to the mechanics of governance and elections. At the Centre for Public Policy Research in Kochi, I analysed election results in Telangana and Madhya Pradesh and studied pre-election trends in Haryana and Tamil Nadu ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. I later completed a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy at the Takshashila Institution. More recently, I spent about a year leading social listening work for the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, tracking political conversations and public sentiment. Alongside this, I write commentary on political and social issues on Instagram and Facebook, aiming to make governance more accessible to everyday citizens.
Outside work, I practice Vipassana meditation, study India’s political history and train in strength and running for physical and mental discipline. My worldview draws on Gandhian ideas of truth seeking and decentralisation, Nehruvian secularism and democratic governance, and Ambedkar’s vision of social democracy and women’s empowerment.
I’m here to connect with fellow changemakers and contribute, in whatever way I can, to the public interest with clarity, compassion and courage.
